Yes, all seating on board Branson Scenic Railway excursions is now assigned and you will select your own seat during the online booking process. Guests are welcome to walk through the train to access restrooms and our concession car.

Although unlikely, BSR may change your seat selection for any reason. Reasons include: an unexpected service interruption to your selected car, reseating to accommodate another passenger with special needs, booking an uneven balance of window and aisle seats, and spreading your party out over a larger area than necessary. We will notify you if we need to change your seat assignment.

BSR and its agents reserve the right to refuse service or remove passengers for disruptive or offensive behavior.

We have a wheelchair designated coach on every train. Our doorways are only wide enough to fit a 24” wheelchair, so if your wheelchair is wider than this you will need to be able to transfer to one of our provided wheelchairs or walk onto the train while your wheelchair is broken down to fit through the doorways. If you use a wheelchair, please contact our ticket office directly for assistance with your reservation at 1-800-287-2462

Traveling on a working commercial railroad line, the train’s direction of travel depends on freight traffic and/or track work and is determined by the Missouri & Northern Arkansas Railroad just prior to departure. At that time, the train will go either North or South.

Our Northern Route goes as far as Galena, Missouri in the James River Valley; and the Southern Route extends into Arkansas to the Barren Fork Trestle. Each route takes passengers about 20 miles from Branson before reversing direction and returning on the same tracks. All excursions depart from and return to the Branson Depot.

Passengers are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages or firearms on the train. Smoking is not allowed on board the train or on the depot platform at any time. This includes e-cigarettes and other similar devices.

Yes. Our trips operate regardless of the weather unless conditions become unsafe for operations. Refunds will not be made in the event of inclement weather if the train still runs.

While every effort is made to maintain our schedules, mechanical issues, weather conditions, and potential fire danger may cause delays or in rare cases, train cancellations. Branson Scenic Railway will not be held liable for any delays or cancellations, whatever the cause.

Yes, restrooms are available on board the train in multiple locations. Please ask an onboard staff member for the nearest location as you board the train to find your seats.

Our excursions feature a designated concession car that offers a variety of beverages, snacks, and sweet treats during our trips. Please ask an onboard staff member to point out its location as you board the train to find your seats.
